Iceberg tipped its hat to the Artful Dodger today. Transported from the gutters of Victorian London to a more sophisticated fashion world, Charles Dickens character was swathed in soft knits and cotton flannels.
First steps on the runway opened with a pepper, maxi knit matched with braces and bowler hat, both of which were a common theme throughout the show. Colours were soft, first came greys followed by beige, blues and dark greens. These worked well when combined with the mix of checks and stripes.
Looks made seamless transitions between formal and every-day. Puffa jackets and heavy knitwear contrasted effectively with buttoned up slick suits. Particularly eye-catching was a dark green three-piece suit.
Relative to other houses, Iceberg’s collection paid more attention to accessories. In addition to the bowler hats, braces and bow ties, there were many other propositions including week-end and work bags, flannel bow-ties and scarves .
