Menswear Fall Winter 2012 Paris

Jean Grimbert and his brother Michel are the proprietors of Arnys, the high-end clothing boutique in Paris started by their grandfather Jankel Grimbert, in 1933. The name Arnys is synonymous with elegance and refined menswear in Paris, it's something of a Parisian institution.
Arnys elegance draws its inspiration from French costume of the eighteenth century transcended by British tailors in the last century giving it a final touch of nature.
The place chosen to present the collection was the emblematic Hôtel Amelot de Gournay current headquarters of the Embassy of Paraguay. A sense of country air and long strolls through the Rive Gauche was presented: loose-fitting coats, tailored jackets and waist hugging, wool flannel belts. The palette of earthy greens, reds and shades of ochre and tobacco is deliberately subtle. French tailoring of rare and unusual English and Italian textiles forms the perfect marriage of look and confort. the light flannels, heavy wools, ultra-soft cashmeres drape effortlessly on the body. The slim-fitting silhouette inspire from the 70's was present at the show in all the stylings and could not miss the Forestère, the emblematic jacket of the brand.
