25 Jan 2012
Couture Spring Summer 2012 Paris

An emotional fashion show for the closure of the Haute Couture SS/2012. L'enfant terrible and charismatic Jean Paul Gaultier has presented his collection amid shouts and applause, tears and whispers of the songs of the controversial Amy, paying tribute to the missing queen of soul.
Milagros Schmoll, Karlie Kloss, Arizona Muse, Joan Smalls, Crystal Renn, Andrej Pejic, Michelle Buswell, Hanaa Ben Abdesslem and other talented models have celebrated the character and look of the singer, completed with giant beehives hair, winged out eyeliner, cigarettes and fake moles.
Gaultier has cut the jersey into the shape of a classic polo but dressed from front to back, the teddy jacket corseted at the waist combinade with maxi skirt in shantung and fishnet and lace legging, knee-length straight skirt combinade with peeled off and tailored jackets showing the bra, pinstripe asymmetric tailor-suit, zoot suit pants, vinyle leggings, capry pants, corset dress... have offered inspired silhouettes from the 80's, 60's and 50's, and the lace has been used in almost all the designs.
Amy's diva, rockabilly and Camden rebel girl. Vibrant and fluors colors, provocative combination, authenticity & attitude (Amy Winehouse 1983-2011).
