Ready To Wear Fall Winter 2012 Milan

For it’s Autumn/Winter 2012 collection Etro remained true to its signature style; intricate motifs were here, there and everywhere, most notably on the collection’s elegant floor length gowns. That said, the colour choice was more subdued than usual thus allowing for greater attention to be paid to detail and tailoring. Bronze textured trouser suits had a wonderful sheen while diamond geometric prints brought winter burgundy and black to life.

Rather than making a re-occurring statement, each ensemble was unique and displayed considerable thought.  No doubt there was a constant variety of looks to keep the audience on their toes. Outfits ranged from the simple and structured to utterly complex; caramel tapered trousers were matched with what looked like a fitted riding jacket and later intermingled with elaborate black-tie dresses. Furthermore, the collection successfully mixed tight fitting ensembles with loose free-spirited cuts - the wide-leg trouser was a particular favourite.

As for accessories these included a great range of belt and bags. The former was often sported on top of a warm winter coat while the latter came in a range of sizes; clutches, small evening bags as well as those perfect for everyday.
